*Alex* I rumbled along the campus road with the body in the back of the van, hoping I didn’t run into trouble. I wasn’t just worried about campus security or the police. I also feared that the men behind the attempted abduction would also be looking for me. Not for the first time, I wondered if I should have brought a gun. If I’d had a gun, though, I probably would have used it. No way would I have been able to keep the happenings of the basement a secret in that case. My luck held, and I reached the highway.
