It had all happened so quickly, one minute Dylan and I were heading for the truck to protect the women from the Serpent’s compound and the next thing I knew we were surrounded. Dylan had shifted to wolf form, just like Zac had moments before, and had attacked some of the vampires, doing everything he could to protect me. They had been too fast though and we were vastly outnumbered. I had tried in vain to fight them off too, but I was grabbed from behind and whisked away, so fast my vision blurred.
