Chapter 2

Bella, I missed your mom, but what can I do, I don't want to lose you too.

When Bella's mom was pregnant with her, the doctor said there would be complications when giving birth to her.

Right after Bella was born, almost the same time, Bella's mom died.

“I'm sorry sir but we cannot save both, one must live. And the mother is weak.”

Raven kissed Bella's nose. He gets up from the bed and freshens up himself. After he finished, he tidies up the living room and picks the toys that Bella played on. Every night, before going to sleep, he will put back the things into places and cuddle with Bella until they fall asleep. But tonight, Bella is already sleeping while Raven is trying to figure out how he will tell Chase about Bella and why he needs to separate.

At Smith Mansion.

Chase entered his room and didn't bother to look around. He slams his body on the huge bed facing the pillow and starts to sob. His tears keep flowing like a river now. He can't believe it. His Raven is living in his own house now with a woman? Are they live-in partners now? Why didn't mention it to him? Is that the reason why he was determined to buy his own house and separate? Is this the reason why they lost contact suddenly? That's why he didn't miss him at all and it was hard for him to say those words I miss you too? Chase's heart clenched in pain.

“Wuwuwu...I hate you, Raven.." Chase cried all he wanted while hitting the pillow with a clenched fist until he got exhausted. He doesn't know how long he's been crying now.

When he's tired of crying, he unconsciously opens his phone and scrolls their photos in his gallery. He checks one by one all those selfies and happy memories they had six years ago. He smiles when he sees their cute photos together wearing historical clothes in one of the places they visited.

Who is Bella? Why is he so important to him? Did he get married already?

"Uwuwu...Raven!!! Uwuwuwu.." Chase starts to sob again.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

Chase didn't bother to look at the person who entered his room.

"Son....it's me, your dad." Mr. James said behind the door.

"D-dad?.."

"May I come in?"

"Yes, Dad," Chase answered while sniffing.

"Son...why and what makes you upset? Tell me, Dad is here to listen."

"Dad, why did Raven move out?"

"I am not sure with his reason exactly, but he said he is old enough to live alone and you know, he has Bella."

"Dad? Why is Bella so important to Raven?"

"I met Bella once, I can't blame your Raven if he spends time and effort with Bella, she's beautiful indeed."

"Dad, it hurts..."

"Son, no. Let your Raven enjoy his life alone with privacy and spend his time with someone he likes and loves. After all, Bella needs attention."

“Dad, you promised me if I study hard and if I reach the right age, you will bless me to love Raven.”

“Son, from the start, my Mom and your Mom never stopped you from loving Raven, it's just that you were too young at that time.” Mr. James sighs deeply. As a father, it is hard to see his son falling in love with a man. But as parents, the best they can give is to see their son's happiness. Chase promises to take care of their business in the future so they promise too, to let loose and let their son be happy with his choices.

“Really Dad? Thank you, I love you Dad.”

“We are just here son, ok?”

Chase sits on his bed and looks at his Dad.

“Dad, where is Raven living?”

Raven was just about to close the light from the living room, he watched TV because he couldn't sleep when he heard a doorbell. He looks at the time at the wall clock, it's already half-past eleven. Raven looks at the peephole but he doesn't see anyone standing in the front door.

Raven gets alert, he takes the baseball bat he always places at the umbrella stand. He doesn't feel nervous but he wants to check who dared to prank him at this hour.

He unlocked the doorknob and the double safety lock barrier but didn't touch the chain lock to avoid the door from opening wide. He checked outside and looked around but didn't see anyone. He was about to close the door when he saw a shadow moving on the window on his left. He slowly removes the chain lock and opens the door wide.

Raven saw a man curling on his knees while trying to hide his face, wearing a beanie, black t-shirt, and black pants, and shoes with a black mask.

“W-who are you?” Finally, Raven forms some words to ask.

“R-Raven...it's cold here...” Chase removed the mask and his beanie, his blonde hair falling on his face.

“B-body?” Raven's eyes widened when he recognized the very cold voice but trembling.

“I'm sorry Raven...”

“Chase! Stand up there. Come here, get inside.” Raven pulled Chase and rubbed his back.

Chase stands up slowly and can't look straight into Raven's eyes. Raven grabs his hand and drags him to the living room and locks the door.

“Chase, you scared me, don't do that again especially at this hour. You should call me. Inform me that you are coming here. You don't need to hide. How long have you been there? It's autumn already and it's colder at night.” Raven starts to rant while staring at Chase who looks like a lost puppy while biting his lower lip.

“Raven, don't get mad,” Chase answered with a low voice.

“I am not mad Chase..”Raven took Chase's hands and rubbed them against his to make it warm. He wanted to hug Chase, he noticed he was shivering and cold. Raven can't stand seeing Chase in this state, without warning, he pulled Chase on his chest.

“Come here..why are you so silly.” Raven rubs his back and leans his jaw on Chase's head and plays on it by rubbing his chin on Chase's hair.

They stayed for a while like that. Raven takes a deep breath, when satisfied he releases Chase from his embrace and looks at the man with his eyes that are swollen from crying earlier.

“Hey...look at me, Chase..” Raven lifts Chase's chin.

“I don't like it, I'm so ugly right now..” Chase is still not looking at him.

“You are not ugly, you are always beautiful in my eyes Chase..”

“You are just tricking me, Raven..” Chase pouted.

“How did you know about my house?”

“Dad, the driver sent me here.”

Raven smiles secretly. He knew it. Chase will always find his way to find him.

“What brings you here?”

“I want to say I'm sorry from earlier and.......I miss you, I want to cuddle with you. Can I sleep here, Raven?” Chase said impassively.

“H-here? tonight? A-hmmm.” Raven's heart suddenly pounds hard. His heart is betraying him. He likes the idea but he is scared to let Chase know his true feelings.

“It's okay Raven, I'll just go back home if I am disturbing you and Bella.”

Raven chuckles and after a few seconds, he can't hold himself anymore and laughs hard.

“Hahahahahahhahahahaha. Chase.”

“Raven, why are you laughing now?”

“Because I remember you left me deadpanned when you hear the name Bella.”

“R-Raven, tell me who Bella is and where is she?”

“Ssssshhhh, she's sleeping right now.”

“What do you mean Raven?”

“Come to my room, let me show you my beautiful Bella, I will introduce you to her..”

“She's in your bed? Raven, I don't want to see.” Chase halted, he doesn't want to invade Raven's privacy and he doesn't want to get hurt by the fact that his Raven is living with a beautiful woman now.”

“What are you talking about?”

“Let's go, I want you to meet here..”

“No..” Chase gets confused. He pulled his hand to retreat but Raven is stronger and pulled him to his chest hard, which made Chase fall on his chest like he was hovering Raven on the couch.

Their heartbeats are racing, thumping like crazy while staring at each other, eye to eye. No one dares to move and their chest is just moving up and down in synchronized motion. Their warm breaths are colliding in between their thin air face gaps. His long blonde hair covered their faces that tickled Raven's ears that touched by the tip of it.

“Chase....”

“Raven....”

Raven couldn't hold it anymore and smashed his lips to Chase. Chase's eyes widened but soon his eyes closed involuntarily when he felt the warm soft wet lips brushing into his lips gently, passionately. He starts to move his lips and reciprocate the kiss.

“Aaaaahhh.” Chase moans in between their kiss for the first time in his life. He never experiences kissing, he never knew what is the taste of lips to lips that he always watches on TV every time he is watching dramas and movies with such erotic scenes. Suddenly, his mind flies into a different world.

Raven never experiences a kiss in his entire life, he is a total virgin at the age of twenty-eight. Even though he watched porn, he never tried to explore or experience it with someone. He doesn't know how to kiss. What is this feeling he can't explain and drive him crazy? The soft lips that touch his, the warm feeling, and the wetness of the soft muscles bring shivers to his spine.

“Mmmmm..” Raven released a soft moan feeling the sensation from the kiss.

Chase snaked his hands to Raven's shoulder when he felt Raven's hands on his waist and started to caress his soft skin under his t-shirt. Chase breaks the kiss to gasp for air, trying to catch his breath.

“R-Raven..ahh..”

“Chase..mmm.”

They stare at each other and without thinking twice, they ravish each other's lips once more aggressively, their hands become playful and Chase pulls Raven to let him sit and kisses him again like he was very thirsty. He is now sitting on Raven's lap. Chase can feel from his bottom, Raven's bulge is starting to grow hard because of the friction he made when he sat on his lap and because Raven is wearing a soft and silk pajama. Raven quickly let go of Chase's body which made the latter get confused.

“Bella..?” Raven muttered.
