Chapter 7 Dreams Become Reality

887 Words
I was running. Flying across the forest. My legs ached and my body cried for me to stop. My brain didn't agree. My brain kept telling me that if I stopped I would die, but it didn't matter how much I wanted to keep running. My legs gave out from under me. I felt my body slow down and I knew what was going to happen. I was going to die. Although I don't remember why I was running I do know I was running from something. As soon and I started to slow down I knew I was now an easy target. Curse you human legs! I heard heavy footsteps behind me. I didn't dare turn around. I knew that if I did I wouldn't like what I saw. Yet again my body became a traitor. It started to turn around. My eyes were captured by someone'a blue eyes. I knew who those eyes belonged to my dad. Tears started to fall from my eyes. My father smiled. My pain amused him. This was all a game to him. A cat and mouse chase. I stared at the man in front of me. "You know I hate it when you run" he stated. I couldn't talk. I couldn't conjugate words. And even if I could my mouth refused to open. My brain was running a million miles per second, yet my body was frozen in place. All I could do was cry. How pathetic. Once I was able to speak I could only scream in help. "Please! Stop!" I yelled at him. "You know I can't do that" he smirked. He started to beat me and I couldn't even stop him. "No one stops him" I cried. "Make him stop. I don't want to do this anymore" I yelled. There was no one around. I knew my cries were useless. All it did was fuel the anger my father had for me. He kicked me repeatedly and punched the back of my head. I felt a snap and looked at my leg. It was popped out of its socket. I knew it was broken. He went for my wrist next. He saw the tattoo. "What the f**k is this?!?" He yelled I didn't answer. He grabbed my wrist in his hand and began to crush it. I heard a crack and a pain shot up through my arm. 'Broken' I thought. "Please stop" I cried. He grabbed my other wrist and did the same. 'Broken' I thought once again. My wrists were broken. My knee was popped out. My back was bleeding and the back of my head was throbbing. My father stood over me and I felt his heavy foot on my rib cage. He started adding pressure. I closed my eyes. Waiting for the crack sound. Instead, I heard a thud. I opened my eyes and there was Alpha Damien. He was over my father's body. He was punching him non stop. My father got a good punch and flung Damien of-of him. They both shifted into wolves and kept their fighting. Damien was a beautiful black wolf. Around the same size as my father. He was slightly bigger. His paws were larger. His wolf was so black he looked blue. A midnight blue color. His eyes were a baby blue color. Almost hypnotizing. His fur looked so soft and silky. I just wanted to run my fingers through it. My father, on the other hand, was a brown color. Like chocolate but nothing was sweet about him. His eyes were a neon green color. His paws looked like they had been dipped in mud. They were black. His fur was long and silky as well but nothing about my father made me want to touch him. Both wolves circled each other. My father flung to attack Damien but the Alpha was quick to react. He moved and my father landed on the ground. Damien launched himself at my father and grabbed him by the neck. My father turned his head and tried to sink his teeth into Damien. Avoiding all contact Damien kept a good hold on my father's neck. The wolf whined. Damien then tightened his grip until my father didn't move. His body went limp and Damien opened his mouth to drop the corpse. Damien the walked over to where I was. He licked my neck. He sniffed all the parts where my father had broken. He licked all of my injuries and the pain subsided. I was able to move my wrist once again and my knee popped back into place as soon as his tongue passed over it. He was curing my injuries. I softly stood up. My body was good as new. Even though I was standing Damien was still a good 5 inches taller than me. I softly ran my fingers through his fur and I swear I almost heard him purr. Damien laid on the ground and I sat next to him. I kept petting him he closed his eyes and snuggled into me. I smiled. "You may be an alpha but you sure do remind me of a teddy bear," I whispered. He licked my face and I giggled. "You're just a big softy" I scratched behind his ear and he laid his head down.
