“There are, of course, the stables as well and I think you will appreciate a Temple we have in the grounds, which was designed by Vanbrugh in 1724 and is considered a gem of garden architecture.”
He spoke to her somewhat pompously, but Noella gave a cry of delight and clapped her hands together.
“Of course I would love to see the Temple,” she said, “and everything else you can show me. How lucky you really are to possess anything so marvellous as this Castle and its surroundings.”
“It is your home too,” the Earl said quietly.
Noella did not reply.
