“What changed?” Liana asked, raising an eyebrow at me as the two of sat on plastic chairs in front of one of the food trucks eating fries. “You suddenly had a change of heart, I am curious why.”
“You don’t let anything slide, do you?” I asked, and she shook her head.
“With a man like yourself, in a world like the one that we live in, it is best not to let anything slide. I would end up losing more than I can afford if something happens, and that is not what I want to think about dealing with. I would rather know what my enemy is thinking.” She said, and I raised an eyebrow.
“Enemy?” I asked, and she smiled.
“I can’t consider you a friend, can I?” She asked, and I scoffed.
