Aiden and I sat by the fire in silence for several long minutes. I kept staring at the fire. "What if the dreams are real and they need our help." I asked.
"Perhaps you should talk to the alpha and Luna about this. They might have more insight." He said.
I looked at him. "They will think I am crazy."
"No they won't. Trust me. The Alpha and Luna are fair in what they do." He said and I just remained silent. I couldn't help but wonder if those left behind are suffering. Were they living in fear and hiding? Were they being tortured by the humans? So many questions were going through my mind but I felt Aidens hand on my shoulder and I looked up.
"There you are." HE said.
"What?"
"Well I have been saying your name for the past several minutes and you just kept looking at the fire."
"Oh sorry I was just thinking." He smiled.
"Well I am going to try and sleep you should to." He said as he stood up and I did the same.
"Good night AIden see you in a few hours." I said.
"Night." He said and we both went towards are sleeping bags.
I laid down and before I knew it I heard my name being called. I opened my eyes and was instantly blinded by the sun. "hey sleepy head you need to wake up." I looked to my right and saw the Luna.
"Oh I am sorry Luna I did not mean to sleep for so long." I said as I quickly stood up.
"Oh you are fine Skylar. I figured I would wake you up so you can eat before we head out. We do not want you getting tired from lack of energy."
"Thank you luna." She smiled at me and walked away.
I quickly packed up my stuff and walked over to were everyone one. Aiden came over to me handing me a bowl of cereal. "Thank you."
He sat down next to me. "No problem. Anymore dreams?" He asked.
"Nope." I said as I put some lucky charms into my mouth.
"That is good. I was thinking perhaps maybe you should keep a journal of the dreams."
"that is a great idea. Do you think they will have some at the gathering?" I asked him.
"They should. There is a small village near the gathering. I'm sure if you ask your mate or the alpha they will allow you to go there."
I smiled at him. "If they keep up I will start to keep a journal."
"Ok everyone. In the next five minutes I want everyone in there wolf forms and there belongs with them. We will stop around one to have lunch and then we should arrive to the gathering around five. If you need anything please mind link the luna or I." He said as he got up.
Everyone began to move from the area we were eating at and made there way to were they slept. I walked over to my spot and undressed then changed into my wolf, grabbed my stuff and walked over to were the alpha was.
Once everyone was there we began to run. We passed by hundreds of trees, a few fields filled with different types of flowers and we even passed by several streams and lakes. I wanted to stop and admire everything but I could not.
'Perhaps we can take our time back home with our mate.' my wolf said.
'I would love that but it would take us forever to return home and I hate knowing mom is alone.' I said back to her.
'Same here.'
We finally stopped near a spring and meadow for lunch. It was so beautiful. My wolf took a drink from the spring and it was so nice. I could not stop drinking and I noticed many others doing the same.
Once everyone was dressed and sitting down the alpha and luna began to pass out sandwiches and chips. When they were done they remained standing as everyone ate.
"In a few short hours many of you will find your mate. If you do not find your mate right away do not become discouraged because some packs will not arrive until tomorrow. If you by chance do not find your mate please come speak to the luna and I. For those of you who do find your mate remember to come speak to us. This way we can figure out where you will be living."
"Yes alpha." We all said at the same time. It was freaky when that happened.
"Also no fighting. We have had over a hundred years of peace so please do not start a war." He said and then sat down. He did not wait for us to respond or submit.
"So you excited." Aiden said.
"I am. The only thing I worry about is my mom. It is just her and I would hate for her to be alone."
"You know she can always ask the alpha to see if she could transfer to the pack you will be in." Aiden said.
"True I did not think of that."
He smirked at me and said "Well that is why you have me as a friend." And I just began to laugh. People around us began to stare.
After we ate we began to head out again and like the alpha said we arrived right after five. We all shifted into are human form, changed and walked into the Palace of Gatherings. The castle was huge but the inside was beautiful. It had different super natural beings painted on the ceiling and the floors were a nice swirl floor.
We stood in a massive foyer waiting for the alpha and luna to show up and I just kept looking at my surroundings.
"Pretty isn't it?" Aiden asked.
"It truly is." I said and he just smiled.
"Ok everyone. If you our a female please see the Luna and males come to me. You will each share a room with one to two others. Once you find your mate you will be moved to a private room with your mate. Once you get settled into your room please meet back here and we will take you to the dinning hall." The alpha said.
I walked over to the luna and she handed me a key. "Room three on the second floor. Go up these stairs." She pointed to the stairs over to the left of her. "Turn right and it will be the second door on the left."
"Thank you luna."
I followed the lunas directions and found the room. Two of the other females in the group shared the same room with me so we all arrived at the same time. The room was huge and there were three beds in the room. No bunk bed which was nice. I walked over to the bed near the window and put my stuff on the bed. The other girls did the same.
"SO you girls ready to go?" I asked and they both gave me a strange look.
"Um no. I am not going down there looking like crap." The one girl said. I had seen her around school but did not know her name. She was a tall slender red head with pale green eyes.
"Oh I never thought of that."
The red headed snorted "Well obviously." She said.
"Cammy don't be a b**ch." The other girl said. SHe was shorter then Cammy and has strawberry blond hair and grey eyes.
"I mean come on now we are about to find our mates she wants to go downstairs looking like that. I would not be caught looking like crap." Cammy said.
I just walked away with a pair of jeans and a nice top in had and found a bathroom to change in. I couldn't wait to find my mate.
'Soon' my wolf said.
