Chapter 27 Slapped on the Face

1286 Words
Everyone looked at the door. A strong and sturdy man came in. Daniel got up from the ground and felt furious. He couldn't wait to beat Joe and the group of men to the ground so that they begged for mercy, but he was suddenly interrupted by this big guy and was very displeased. "s**t, get out. Don't ask for troubles." With that, Daniel got slapped on the face and felt dizzy. He was immediately stunned. He was so far away from Joe and the others. Who slapped him? Could that nice-looking kid move too quickly? It was impossible. After he saw clearly who hit him, he became even more confused. Because it was not someone else who hit him, but Ronnie. "Ronnie, what are you doing?" Before finishing speaking, he was slapped again. "Asshole, how could you be so rude to Bard? f**k off." After that, Ronnie ran to the big man, nodding and bowing, showing a flattering look. "Bard, please don't be angry. The kid doesn't know you. I would deal with him later." Bard glanced at Ronnie, pushed him away, and ran for Abbott. "Abbott, you are really here. I just passed the alley and saw your car. I thought I mistook it. Oops, isn't this Mr. Barret? You are here too. What has happened to make you come here in person?" He ran over and shook hands with Barret. After that, Abbott spoke, "Bard, do you know these people?" "No." "That's interesting. The man seems to know you. Could you solve this problem?" "Yes." And then he went to Ronnie. Joe tugged Barret's arm. "Barret, who is this guy?" "His name is Bard Lewis, Abbott's confidant. Master, a good show has begun." Joe nodded happily. Bard walked into the crowd and looked around in a sullen expression. "Who is the leader?" There were two gangs, so some looked at Ronnie and some looked at Daniel. "What's the matter? There are two leaders for this small group? That's interesting. So, who's in charge here?" Normally, Ronnie wanted everyone to treat him as a big boss, but now, when he saw Daniel pointing at him, he wanted to bury Daniel alive. At this point, he believed that the nice-looking brat was Abbott. In the great fear, he began to tremble. "Bard, it is a misunderstanding... just a misunderstanding." "You know me?" "I know James." "What James?" "James Beck." Bard nodded. James was his subordinate. "Oh, so you are with James? Why haven't I met you?" "No, I just had a meal with James. I know you are James' boss." With that, he shivered even harder, as he already understood what was going on. James' boss was Bard, Bard's boss was Abbott, and Abbott was respectful to Barret and Joe. He couldn't even provoke James, but he had offended Barret and Joe. What he might get was more than just losing money and getting beaten up. "Why could James be with you?" After that, he took out his cell phone. "James, what the hell have you done?" Bard scolded James for a long while. "Stop talking nonsense, I'll clean you up later." He hung up the phone and gave Ronnie an annoyed look. Ronnie lowered his head, his legs almost weak. "What's going on?" Ronnie tried his best to get rid of this matter and transferred all the responsibility to Daniel. Even though Daniel was dissatisfied, he couldn't show his displeasure, because it really happened because of him, and Ronnie was here to help. Halfway through, he was stopped by Bard. "Okay, you got the guts. You only know how to bully the weak, right? Don't talk so much nonsense, just tell us how to deal with this matter." "I apologize to you and pay another thirty... No, another fifty thousand dollars..." Bard wasn't unreasonable. He thought it was enough. "Abbott, how do you think?" "Don't ask me, ask Mr. Smith." "Mr. Smith, are you satisfied with this result?" Of course not. He knew how hateful Daniel was. Besides, he had let go of Daniel last time, and he regretted it. He couldn't do the same this time. As for Ronnie, since he took Daniel as a backer, he might as well deal with him together. Before he could speak, Barret spoke. Barret was worried that Joe would rush to a conclusion. "Our master thought that since he has acquaintance with James and Ronnie, he would give Ronnie a chance to admit his mistake. So, if Ronnie is willing to apologize and pay some money, that's the end of the matter. But Daniel is really hateful, and if he doesn't get a lesson, he won't admit his mistakes." Ronnie was ecstatic when he heard this. His humble life was saved. But Daniel was in trouble, and he collapsed on the ground in fright, begging for mercy. Joe didn't show any trace of sympathy for him. At this moment, he understood that the pitiful men must have a cause to be despised. Bard patted Ronnie on the shoulder, and the latter was staggering in shock and almost fell over. "Did you hear that?" "Yes, Bard." "Do you have any objection?" "I don't have any objection at all. Thank you for your forgiveness. I will never dare to do it again." "Go and apologize to them, and then send the 50,000 dollars to the Andrew Family. If you dare to go back on your words, then you will suffer the consequences." Ronnie had a strong desire to survive and kept nodding his head. "I won't go back on my words. I will withdraw the money in a while, and I will definitely send the money there within an hour." "Very well. Apologize to them now." "Yes, thank you, Bard." Ronnie lost his arrogance and pride and walked up to Abbott like a dog. At this moment, he didn't understand why Abbott could be so humble. Maybe he wouldn't understand it in his lifetime. "Abbott, I was wrong. I shouldn't have offended you. Please forgive me." Abbott glanced at him indifferently, without showing any emotion. In his eyes, this kind of vulgarity was not worth mentioning, just like a lion never felt angry because of the barking of a wild dog. "If you dare to bully the weak in the future, you have no chance to apologize." "Yes, I won't do that anymore. Just forgive me." "You need to beg Mr. Smith for mercy." Ronnie looked at Joe flatly. Probably he was too nervous and scared, so that tears welled up in his eyes. "Mr. Smith, I was wrong. I won't do that anymore. Please spare me this time." Joe didn't plan to care about Ronnie anymore, after all, he had to save Bard's face. He pointed to Aaron. "Return the money to him. And, you kicked him just now, what are you going to do with him?" Ronnie slapped his own face immediately. He slapped his face while scolding himself, "I'm a bastard, I'm not a human..." Aaron hurriedly grabbed him. "Don't, I don't blame you, but you can't bully people in the future." "I don't dare anymore." After that, he took out the money to return it to Aaron and then looked at Abbott scare. Abbott looked at Barret. "Mr. Barret, what do you say?" Barret gave Ronnie a calm look. "Let's go, don't help the tyrant to bully others. It does you no good." Ronnie's tears rolled down. "Yes, I got it." "Let's go." Ronnie asked his men to leave in embarrassment. Only Daniel's group remained in the warren. Daniel knelt down immediately and started to kowtow. "Joe, no, Mr. Smith, I was wrong. I won't do this again. Could you spare me this time?"
