“That would save me taking the book off the property.” From the way he said it, I gathered that such a thing would not normally be allowed, but that would not prevent him doing so if he needed to.
“What are your plans for the future?” she raised her wine to her lips. “Our queen is a great supporter of the magical arts, and we are trying to grow this facility.”
“Are you inviting me to stay?” he was amused by this. “Thank you, that is flattering. But I have... well. Let’s just say I am on a quest to reclaim what is rightfully mine. I don’t intend to fail.”
