Chapter 6: New Beginnings
Ava flopped back on the sofa and welcomed Frank’s warmth across her lap as he settled on her legs. But she continued to think, and she’d had about enough of that for one day. Chase had left three hours ago, and she still couldn’t think of anything else.
She flipped on the television, intending to distract her brain with unsolved crimes, cheesy love triangles or melodramatic tearjerkers. What appeared on her screen was the absolute last thing she’d been expecting.
