Chapter 4: Letting Go
A week passed, and then another, but no matter how hard they looked, it seemed Logan had disappeared completely. Caleb had warned her that Logan wasn’t an easy man to find. As time went by though, she began to wonder why she’d begun the search in the first place. Or maybe Caleb had begun to occupy her thoughts so much that there was no longer room to worry over what had become of a man she’d never really loved. Caleb had gone from being an ally to…well, she couldn’t describe exactly what he’d become, or maybe she was just afraid to put a name to it. Could she really have begun to fall in love with him so quickly? What she did know was she was done looking for a man who no longer held any place in her heart.
“I think it’s time to stop searching,” she told him one eve
