“What the hell happened to you Brother? What was going on? Your eyes were clouded, you were not being able to speak anything and your wounds are healing much faster than it is normal. Would you please keep me in the loop Lukas? I am getting scared!!!” said Rhea as she looked at her brother who looked at the entire room with amazement in his eyes.

“I am pretty sure that you are not more scared than me sister,” said Lukas as he tried finding some kind of light source around the room.

“I don’t think Lukas that you are going to able to find a switch in order to light up the room. This room is protected by magic, so whatever happens in this place is through magic and magic only. We need to make this apparently clear that you are the only one who could have had access to this room,” said Rhea as her eyes automatically changed to night vision.

“That is not going to work Rhea. You need to understand that according to our mother she had lost her powers long ago, so she could not have accessed this place without the help of normal human stuff. Might be a bit difficult to find but logically think of the spot where it would have been more accessible to her. And there was a stairs down this trap door which we both did not even give a glance at. But what I do not understand is why the hell was I behaving in that way? It was like that someone else had taken the control of my body and I could not do anything about it,” said Lukas as he kicked a metallic pot with his feet and it bounced with a ringing sound reverberating all around.

“Found it,” said Rhea as lights of the basement room came on.

“Yeah, well it seems you are far better suited to access all these rather than me. So I shall leave you to get acquainted with all these disgusting things and I shall be outside,” said Lukas a she went towards the opening of the trap-door.

“Lukas, Lukas, hold up. I don’t think that it works that way. Or it is going to work that way unless you are present here. Whatever happened whether Mom lost her powers, did not lose her powers she still had the blood of a sorceress running through her veins and that is the only reason that you are the only person who can open this door and access this place. I thought you should have understood that by now but it is still my job to make you understand this. Lukas, you have to accept who you are, you cannot run away from this. Your body knows that it has got another part inside like your wolf which has been subdued for too long which is letting all these things happen. So please stay here and see what is there that we can use to actually help you out,” said Rhea, as she huffed.

“Rhea, little sis, you know goddamn well that I trust you right. But there is something which I am smelling but you are not. There is something in this room or underneath this house which is not normal. I smell something crazy but you are not going to believe if I told you that it is scaring the s**t out of me,” said Lukas, he was looking all around the room hoping that someone would jump on him the next moment.

“You know that I have believed you ever since I first knew that you were my brother. There is no question of doubt. I don’t have any room for questions here. I just want to know what it is that you are so scared. And another fact Lukas, if you think carefully then you must also know that we live in this house and whatever is here or beneath this basement is beneath the house as well so it is no point going up because this thing is still going to stay underneath you,” said Rhea, raising her brows.

Lukas looked at her thinking over what she said and then realized that she was speaking the truth only. It was really no point not facing things when the problems were actually so imminent.

He nodded and then again looked back and said,” The spirits of six people have been trapped here. It is something pretty gnarly and unholy. I don’t know how but this is going to be a disaster. I am smelling the stench of death and torture Rhea and this is not pretty at all.”

“Well as far as all the movies and books show then it is really not supposed to have the dark magic rituals to be all flowers and then lavender perfume. I think you know that as well that since our Mother was one of the Dark Sisters she would have her fingers in all the wrong kind of things. There must be some way to teach you how to touch in your powers and reach for them inside just like you do with the wolf inside. So what is this exactly you are smelling?” asked Rhea.

“Death, all at the wrong times in the wrong way. These people have been sacrificed all in the wrong way in the wrong manners and the souls are still trapped here in some way. They have been trapped because there is a curse lingering all over them. These souls have been placed here for a reason Rhea, I can feel it in my bones but I don’t know that precisely,” said Lukas, as he started panting like anything and then he suddenly screamed out changing midway into a wolf but it was like his body was trapped in between his human and his wolf figure.

“Lukas,” screamed out Rhea. But she knew that it was not the time to panic. Lukas was probably already freaked out of his mind and she needed to calm him down whatever the situation might be and not agitate him.

“Okay, Luke. Stop this instant,” said Rhea in a powerful voice. Luke was the name of his wolf. It was a bit odd but then the wolves had their own personality which affected their human counterparts in a lot of ways.

The wolf who was still not fully a transformed wolf c****d his head and then listened to Rhea. She heaved a sigh of relief and then the creature started growling at her.

“Luke, I am your sister. Look at my eyes and I know that you are in some kind of pain but that is going to go away if you change back into your own form. Take deep breaths and listen to me, breathe,” soothed Rhea in a crooning voice and Lukas was back in his own human body, crouching there and popping his muscles out like stretching and then he suddenly looked at himself and looked at Rhea who was looking at him with a scowl on her face.

“You are the Alpha, then why the hell you are not being able to control your wolf Lukas? You are behaving way worse than a teenage wolf who has just hit puberty. You cannot even control whatever is happening inside your own body Lukas, you need to understand that you need to sort this s**t out now,” said Rhea, her scowl still at its place.

“Rhea,” said Lukas as he stood up to his full height and looked at Rhea in the eye and then spoke in the voice of his Alpha.

“You are my sister but remember still you are way submissive to me in your position Rhea. I am not going to tolerate if you would not be able to make a choice about helping me or not. There are things which are happening to me, inside my body and within which I cannot even fathom but that really does not mean that we are not going to get through it. If you are not able to or rather capable enough of handling this then you need to leave me alone in my own condition and let me deal with it however I want to. But do not ever dare raise your voice against me,” growled Lukas at Rhea and she squealed in excitement.

The expression on Lukas’s face was one which was worth capturing.

“See I knew that crappy attitude was going to bring you back to Alpha mode. So good, now you are back to normal we can go on to check whatever is happening with you and how are we supposed to fight that without anyone to train us,” said Rhea with a thousand watt bulb lit smile on his face.

“Rhea, you are way out of your line behaving in that way. What were you thinking trying to anger me like that? What would have happened if I had attacked you? You are not my enemy, you are my sister, my responsibility. What did you want to accomplish from this little show of acting?” asked Lukas.

“That your wolf is still much more powerful than anything else which is inside you. This is the one that keeps you rooted, keeps you balanced. I have found out your core Brother. That is what I was trying to accomplish,” said Rhea, rolling her eyes like every teenage sister does.

“Well I cannot say that I am angry but I know this that you were foolish in trying out that when you really did not know the consequences of this thing was risky, even for you. I know that yes you have faith in me, you do believe me but you cannot always trust when there are dark powers at work and at force here. Please for heaven’s sake do something sensible Rhea from the next time,” said Lukas, and now he was rolling his eyes as well.

“Yeah, right. This actually did not come down with a handbook if you recall. I did what I felt right about that at that particular moment and until and unless we have someone actually to guide us through this, then it is always going to be trial and error. And suck it up and deal with it. Go get some pants while I shall start looking for where to exactly start. Alright?” asked Rhea, as she looked at Lukas.

Lukas looked down at himself and found that he was without any clothes except a few tattered pieces hanging from his body, here and there. And there he was standing before his sister buck naked and he groaned at her.

“Yeah, right. Why are you even groaning Lukas, it is not anything that I have not seen before. I have seen it more than a hundred of times and not only your butt. I have seen you from front as well. So please stop fidgeting like that and come out from behind that urn and go and grab a pair of sweats. We are going to have to keep a few spares here as well,” said Rhea as Lukas, went pure red from alabaster, head to toe.

“God you are worse than even the worst kind of virgin. What are you?” asked Rhea in frustration.

“Exactly what you said just now,” said Lukas before he climbed up through the trap door just before Rhea let out another laugh once more.
