Chapter 24: Country’s Duty

6:51 P.M.
I was working late, hoping that Tal would find me in my office and seduce me, which would probably never happen. Even if the bar owner didn’t find me attractive or at all interesting concerning his preferred s****l play in life, my crush for the cowboy still churned within my soul.
Tal never showed up out of the blue, busy with his bar. Instead, Cissy called my cell in quite the spin, and said, “I think Renner’s at Country’s Duty.”
I wanted to laugh, but didn’t. Her statement was way off the charts since Country’s Duty was a bathhouse for the dirtiest cowboys in Stockton County and had a horrendous reputation. Drug deals, s*x rings, and murder had taken place at the hole, none of which I believed Renner was a part of.
