Damon and I walk back to the house together. We actually manage to make conversation without a fight.
“So tell me about your brother.” Damon says
“Nate is the best, he and I were close growing up. I hate that I didn’t get to tell him goodbye. He was in Europe on business. He runs his own company.” I tell him
“He sounds impressive. I’ve never actually met him.” He says
“Maybe one day you will.” I say and I see him smile out of the corner of my eyes
“I was thinking about having dinner in my room tonight. Would you.. would you maybe want to join me? We could watch a movie while we eat.” He seems nervous
“What movie?” I ask teasingly
“Whatever movie you want is fine with me.” He says
“Even a chick flick?” I say and raise my eyebrow
“Even a chick flick” he says rolling his eye
