*Ari’s POV* The light of my phone was dim in the dark cell. It touched the pendant of my mother’s necklace as it sat in my fingers. I’d received the necklace on my eighteenth birthday, and worn it every day since. It had been my mother’s, who now remained in my memory and heart.
