When I got back to the Dark Mountain Kingdom, the first thing I did was go searching for King Gideon. I checked his office first, but he wasn’t there, so I started roaming through the halls and sniffing the air to see if I could pick up on his scent.
It wasn’t until I reached the basement stairs, then I finally picked up on that scent of his, but it was mingling with several other scents along with sweat and blood. With wariness taking over, I slowly tiptoed down the stairs, then I followed his scent to a large, metal door that had several different kinds of locks on the outside.
