The time had finally come for me to make an appearance at the Red Thorn Kingdom. Instead of going with Mandy’s plan, King Gideon decided to try striking some kind of deal with King Atreyu first, but he did have her follow me, so she could sneak back onto the territory without being seen and get us more valuable information.
I didn’t think there was a chance in hell that King Atreyu would agree to anything, but I couldn’t disobey my king’s direct order. When I heard the new plan, I grumbled and asked if somebody else could go, but he insisted that it had to be me, because I’m the best at negotiating.
