Angel's POV Her eyes widened, disbelief flashing across her face. “What do I mean? Are you serious? You kissed me, Angel. You kissed me like—” She stopped herself, biting her lip, as if saying it out loud would make it more real. “Why?” I exhaled slowly, trying to find the words. “I told you. I needed to get something out of my system.” Her jaw clenched, the hurt in her eyes deepening. “Get what out of your system, Angel? What does that even mean?” I hated this part.
