It wasn’t a quick walk back to her friends but it wasn’t a long one either. Naomi found her mood dwindling as she took one step in front of the other. Since when did walks become so agonizing? Right, when she figured out that an 8-year old boy was working as a carousel boy instead of playing. Anyway, Naomi needs to see her circle as soon as possible so that she could tell them about Chris. Maybe the four of them (three) could help the poor boy.
