CHAPTER 4

"Shall we warn SexyTara?" Janine asked Jackie angrily.

"I don't know... I don't know," Jackie answered anxiously. "Our conscience will haunt us if something happens to that person. We know what will happen but we did not tell other people." Jackie's answer made them more worried as they walked towards the bus stop on their way home.

"Do you know who SexyTara is, as in the real person behind that username?"

Jackie nodded. "No. I just found out that Denise is the HotDenise on ChitChat."

"How come? What are we going to do now?" Janine sat in the waiting shed in front of the jeep.

"Hang on first while I am thinking." Jackie looked around to find a cab. An empty cab stopped in front of them. "Let's go."

The two of them boarded their way to Janine's home. Their houses are close to each other. Jackie will hang out first in hr best friend's house while thinking about what they will do. They have no one to talk to.

"Oh, why did you come home too eary, Janine, Jackie? You don't have a class anymore?" Mrs. Trinidad looked at the wall clock. It's only four o'clock. "Is there something wrong or are you both in trouble?"

"Janine feels bad that's why we decided to go home early," Jackie lied. Janine could not answer her mother's question, because she never know how to lie especially when her mother asked her.

"Oh, go upstairs and rest, Janine. I'll take a snack there for the two of you," Janine's mother said.

"T-thank you, 'Mom." Janine smiled hesitantly at her mother before going up, Jackie followed her.

"Open your computer. Let's create a fake account then we will message Tara. Let's warn her." Jackie thought of that idea to warn Tara.

"What if she doesn't listen to us and then later she'll get killed? The police can trace my IP address. And I will be the prime suspect," Janine said nervously.

"Then what should we do?" Jackie sat down on Janine's bed.

"I don't know." Janine's shoulder dropped. Her body temperature seems getting worse. She feels really bad in lying to her mama because their alibi is coming true. "What is that ChitChat?"

"Oh, it's a blog site where the moderator or admin posts a topic and then fills in the comments and reactions of netizens. It's easy to create an account, just create a dummy email and then create your dummy ChitChat account, then you're good. The usual topics are fishing ng negative comments, and Mina's always the hottest topic. Then fandoms usually have fan war and trash-talking there. " Jackie approached Janine's desktop computer and turned it on. She logged into ChitChat and she showed all negative topics.

Jackie showed Janine the ChitChat Platform interface. "Here. You just have to click those links. The site is user-friendly, so maybe a lot of people visit it. Easy to navigate." Jackie pointed to the links and clicked one of them.

"Why all of these are hate topics about Mina? There's one different topic, the Rising Star Sarah Sorrel, but it seems like everything I see is about Mina." Janine frowned as she glanced across the page. The website also looks popular because it has ads. Obviously, netizens visit it.

"That's also what I was wondering about. When I first created an account here it was not like this. They feature all artists here and you can comment on different topics. It was fun! However, lately it's all about Mina that's why I don't visit this page anymore because it's so stressful to read gossips and bullying. I just logged in again to show you this for the last time. " Jackie let go of the computer mouse and stared at the screen. "What are we going to do again?"

"I don't know. I really don't know." Janine laid down on the bed then sunk her head on the pillow. The situation involved made her fall asleep. Even Jackie slept in her room.

Tamara is online, grinning while chatting with friends. They are insulting the late actress Mina again. She is really annoyed with the woman because she believes that the kindness she shows in her interviews is fake. Tamara sees her as a liar, gold digger, snobbish and pretentious. She has been sending hate comments in every Mina's videos and photos.

The girl was about to send an insulting comment again when the screen of her laptop suddenly darkened, and a woman's reflection showed. It seems moving. Tamara's eyes widened when from the monitor screen came out a pale hand with long nails. It suddenly choked Tamara. She held the cold hand, trying to get free from it.

"H-help!" Her eyes widened even more as the face of the hand's owner appeared. "M-Mina..." Mina's face is as pale as paper, her veins on her face are popping, her eyes are big and all black. Her hair is a mess, covering almost half of her face.

"Did you miss me?" Mina showed a wicked smile, her eyes are full of rage. "You'll die in my hands."

"No, please. I-I'm begging you..." Tamara's catching her breath as the strangle is getting rtghter.

"I love hearing you begging me, but no. You'll pay for what you've done to me." Without hesitation, she then choked Tamara to death.

Tamara sank on her laptop. Mina disappeared, and the laptop screen went back to the ChitChat page. The words 'Die f**k die! You all die! F ** k die!' was typed in the message box and was sent to the public chatroom.

"According to the breaking news, a teenager is found dead and killed by a stranglehold in front of her laptop, but no fingerprints were found on her. According to the report, the victim was Tamara Andrade, 16 years old. The victim was found this morning crouching. on its computer table and estimated to have died around 10:30 PM last night while logged in to the social media platform ChitChat. The police said that there was no attempt to enter the victim's condo unit or break in. CCTV footage also showed no one else entered their unit. They said the victim's face seemed she died with full of fear.
