neither realized someone had come in until the bedroom door opened. "what the hell is going on in here!" a voice boomed out as Connor reached over covering her naked body fully.

" dad! get out!" she watched as Connor tried getting up protecting her from his glare. " don't you knock?" he hobbled pushing his dad out the door as Alexis grabbed her clothes pulling them on as fast as she could.

" oh crap! I think he saw me naked!" she pulled her pants on buttoning them as fast as she could. Connor hobbled towards her as she put her arms through her shirt sleeves. she wasn't sure she had ever gotten dressed so fast.

" hey! hey! baby calm down. it's ok." he brought his hands to her face bringing his mouth on her soft lips. " it's ok." his thumb traced her cheek. "I will get rid of him, just calm down ok?"

she nodded her head closing her eyes. " I'm sorry." he brought her closer and she allowed him to.

" no you don't be sorry. he can't just come barging into our home." Alexis stilled at his words. "what?"

she smiled at him, " you said our home." she shrugged her shoulders as she grabbed him some pants. " I just kind of liked the sound of it." she got him on his chair making sure he was comfortable as he wheeled himself to his father. Alexis picked up really quickly and then slipped on her boots. " might as well make myself busy." she pushed off the bed and sighed as she opened the door to the bedroom. she walked out of the bedroom as she noticed how quiet the house was. odd. she thought to herself.

voices rang out from the porch. anger seething from both of them.

" you are coming back if you want to keep your little life style. tell your gold digging w***e to move on!"

" I don't need your money and you know that and if you call her a w***e again I won't hold back!"

" fine! don't come crawling back when she takes everything from you!"

Alexis couldn't sit back and listen any longer. she burst through the front door slamming it shut behind her. Both men looking at her in surprise. she furrowed her eyebrows at them both. " sir, I don't need his money or yours. I'm a big girl and when I'm finished with school I will make my own money because my daddy raised me to rely on myself. " her eyes fluttered up looking between them both. " why are you so afraid for him to have love?" she shifted uncomfortably from leg to leg. " you didn't want to give it to him. why are you so afraid for him to find it?" Robert looked at her as he made a move to step forward at her. in am instant Connor was out of the wheelchair and pushing her body behind him. Hobbling on his good leg he raised his fist and with a sickening thud it landed on his dad's face. his dad fell to the ground on his knees.

Alexis didn't even have time to react as Connor wobbled off balance. he grabbed for his chair sitting back down. " get out dad and don't ever come back." tears were coming down his cheeks. his dad turned to say something than decided against it. Alexis watched as his back disappeared down the porch steps. she rushed to Connors side checking his leg.

" you could have torn your stitches!" she lift his pants leg as she looked at it. Breathing a sigh of relief when she realized he wasn't hurt. " what can I do to help you smile?" He reached out grabbing her onto his lap.

" you were right you know." she looked at him curiously. " he always took love away and never wanted to give it." Alexis kissed his cheek then his jaw trying to help ease his stress. " when he came after you..."

" shhhh." she kissed him deeply holding him close. " I figured out how to make you smile." she raised up off his lap.

" give me your all." she lifted her shirt revealing her full bare breasts her n*****s were tight in the cold air. a smile spread across his face. " that definitely made me feel better!" he patted his lap beckoning for her to come sit.

she sat down throwing her arms up shrugging. " no bra!" They sat there holding each other absorbing each other's stress. after a time she lifted her head. " I'm hungry want to grab some food in town? it's been a minute since you've been out."

" I would rather have you naked in my arms again but food does sound good." she laughed as she got up off his lap. " I'm sorry I cried."

" we had a moment. don't be sorry. trust me we all have them. let's go eat." she kissed him and helped him to the car. they drove into town quiet enveloping them. she pulled her car into a parking spot in front of a little diner. " let me get your chair. "

the place was noisy. plates clinking and a waitress yelling orders. they were sat at a table while a waitress with a low cut shirt brought menus. she leaned in close to Connor as Alexis tried to hold back her laughter. " can I get you two something to drink?" she only looked at Connor as her breasts threatened to fall out.

Connor never looked up at her. " water for me. what about you babe?" Alexis giggled as his eyes finally met hers.

" mmmm water is good for me thanks. " the waitress walked away clearly upset he didn't give her the time of day. " that was interesting. " she laughed as he pulled her chair closer to him.

" the only person that holds my interest ever is you. always you." he kissed her nose as the waitress came back to take their orders. they talked for hours and it was like no one else was there but them. Alexis thought how perfect this was. this moment right here. she wondered if she could trade the dreams she has known all her life for this. she knew she loved him but was it enough to give up on everything she worked for. To let herself stay in the very town she desperately wanted to escape from.
