“HA!” I hooted as I did a childish celebratory dance, lauding my victory over Link. “And I thought you said you were the strongest wolf in the kingdom pack?” I tutted mockingly, resting my hands on my hips.
“I am…” He answered swiftly, before charging and taking me down by the waist.
“Really? It doesn’t seem like it, I’ve taken you down three times today.” I said breathlessly, slightly winded from the impact.
“Only because I allowed you to, you get nowhere in life if you don’t let your woman get her own way, at least once a day.” He smirked while hovering over my splayed body.
“I am not your woman.” I said harshly, the realisation that Lincoln could never truly be mine, made my insides ache.
