*Anders POV*
Once we got home, Uncle Tommy parked the car and opened my door for me. "Do you want me to carry her up to her room?" he asked gently. I shook my head no. "I am going to bring her to Carly. She has been worried sick about her. Plus, I don't trust letting her be by herself in her room. Who knows if those motherfûckers will try to get in again and take my baby." I said as I ran my knuckles down her face.
"Well, Emma, Jenna, Declan, and myself will be staying in a couple of your guest rooms. I don't want to leave your side. I am sure Landon and Krista will probably come stay as well. You know how your mother is." he says sternly but chuckles at the end.
I blew out a breath and laughed softly. "Yeah, she is pretty badâss and stubborn when she wants to be," I leaned down and gently lifted my daughter in my arms, "I'll meet you in my office in about an hour. I want to go check on Jackson." Uncle Tommy nodded his head and headed inside my house. I carried Jade bridal style up the stairs to where my wife was. Carly had been beside herself.
Once I opened the door, I noticed that Carly was not there. She was probably downstairs with Jackson. I wanted to lay my daughter down so she could rest, but I was hesitant. Were those boys here or close by? I knew it was foolish to think, but I didn't know what to do. After a couple of minutes, I decided to take her with me to see Jackson.
I knew Jade was overwhelmed by what happened to him. She had a special bond with him as well. I knew she wanted to make sure her other dad was alright. I headed back down the stairs and went straight to where Jackson was resting. I opened the door, and Carly's head snapped in my direction.
She had a puffy face and tears streaming down her face. "Oh, thank God, my baby's back home." she sobbed happily. Jade started to move around, and I looked over at her face. She saw Carly and then tensed when she saw Jackson. "Daddy?" she whispered.
I put her down slowly, and she ran to Carly, embracing her, "I'm sorry, Mama. I'm so sorry." She sobbed. "It's okay, baby girl, Mama is here for you. I am just glad you are home now." Carly said, running her hands down Jade's back, trying to calm her.
I walked over to Jackson's side and placed my hand in his. "How is he?" I croaked out. "He is doing better, baby. He was awake just before you got here. He was asking for you and Jade. I told him that she escaped and called you and that you were going to get her. George gave him another sedative because he was still complaining about his chest hurting, but he was relieved that Jade was coming home. He said to tell her he loved his little gem so much." Carly said, sniffling and squeezing Jade's shoulder.
Jade's whole body was wracked with tears as she began crying heavily. Her shoulders were moving up and down with the force she was crying. Carly walked over to her and helped her over to Jackson.
She embraced him and continued sobbing uncontrollably. "I'm sorry, Daddy. I shouldn't... have run off... like I did. It's all... my fault. I didn't mean to disappoint you. Please forgive me."
I grabbed Carly's hand and placed my finger over my mouth. I led her out of the room. "Let her have a minute with him. She has been through a lot." I said softly. "What happened to her Anders?" My little bunny growled viciously while pointing her finger at my chest, "And don't you dare leave dâmn thing out."
"Bunny, I don't know everything just yet. I haven't had a chance to talk to our daughter. What little time we had, she asked why Jackson wasn't there and that she was sorry. She fell apart when I told her what happened to Jackson, and she fell asleep in my arms. That was as far as we got." I said with a pained voice.
"Why is she just wearing a shirt and your jacket?" Carly narrowed her eyes at me. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath l, letting it out slowly. "They ripped her clothes off and attempted to râpe her, but she found a way to escape. One of their shirts was the fastest thing she could get to."
"Their? Are you fûcking telling me there were two of those motherfûckers?" she said, gritting her teeth. I nodded my head.
"Where is my grandbaby, Anders?" said a stern voice behind me. My mother. I turned around and saw my mother and father. She is with Jackson at the moment." I whispered roughly, "Let's go to my office. I have a lot to tell all of you. Some things that Jackson and I found out. Unce Tommy should be heading that way soon."
My parents and Carly followed me to my office. Uncle Tommy wasn't there yet. He already knew what happened, though. I had to fill everyone else in on what we already knew.
Everyone sat down and stared at me expectantly. I sat down in my chair and cleared my throat.
"We found out that two men were following Jade. Dad, we found out a lot more once you left," he gritted his teeth with anger but motioned for me to continue, "They took her from the party, and from what we found out, they were here in the house," I opened my mouth to continue but I was interrupted by my mother. "WHAT? THOSE LITTLE FÛCKERS WERE IN YOUR HOUSE?" My mother screamed out.
"Yes, they threatened to kill Jenna if she didn't keep quiet. Once she left for the party, they must have followed her there. Then, after they took her, she was almost sêxually assaulted. She escaped and found one of their shirts, then took their SUV and phone so she could call me to come and get her. I know there is more to the story, but I haven't had a chance to talk to her. She was devastated about Jackson."
Carly's eyes were wide with horror. "Jesus, my poor baby. Let me get my hands on them. Just get me a vial of thallium, and I will take care of everything." She clenched her fists tightly and just smiled darkly.
I gulped inwardly. My bunny definitely had a dark side. Sometimes, it scared the hêll out of me. "Dâmn woman. Don't give my wife any ideas." My dad said uncomfortably. "Haha, where do you think I got the idea from?" My bunny laughed.
My dad's eyes widened with shock, "What in the fûck did I create?" My mom just chuckles and looks him in the eyes. "Someone who doesn't give a fûck who she has to hurt if they fûck with my family. I had to make sure all my girls were a part of that. We are stronger together. Isn't that right, Carly?"
Carly nodded her head enthusiastically with an evil grin.
*Knock*
*Knock*
Everyone exchanged glances, "Come in." I said sternly. Jade opened the door and peeked her head inside. Her eyes widened with shock when she saw everyone that was present. She gulped loudly and then came inside, closing the door behind her.
"I have something to talk to you about, and I want to know the truth. From all of you." Jade said with determination. "Alright. You have the floor, baby girl." I said, motioning for her to start. "Where's Uncle Tommy? I won't start until he is here," she said firmly.
"Are you alright?" I asked cautiously.
"Yes, but I want the truth," she said, gritting her teeth. I côcked my head to the side, watching her. The door opened, and Uncle Tommy walked in. "I see we are all here," he said softly.
"I want to know everything about our family's history. No more lies. I want the whole truth. Bryson and Caine told me our family's history, but I can't even imagine that you would be that way. There has to be more to the story. Did Grandpa Conrad make some kind of sêxual stimulant drûg and why did you kill Bryson's uncle, who loved my mom just for you and my other dad to keep her? Why would Bryson say that the Castello family would have their revenge on our family?" Jade said, shaking with uneasiness.
The whole room went silent, and everyone's eyes, including myself, were wide with trepidation.
"Did you just say, Castello?" I said roughly. There was a lump stuck in my throat and I felt my stomach churn with nausea. The memories that flooded my head made me want to vomit. I began breathing heavily, and I crumbled to the ground, gasping for air.
"ANDERS!" I heard everyone yell frantically.
"DAD!" Jade cried out.
After all these years, I still can't get over it completely. After hearing his name come out of my daughter's mouth, sent me for a loop. He still haunts me from time to time in my dreams, even after all these goddâmn years.
"Anders, baby, calm down, it's in the past, my love. Just take a deep breath for me. I'm here, Anders. I'm here." My wife said as she embraced my body, trying to calm me down while sitting on the floor.
"What happened? I need to know the truth. Only then can I fix whatever was done. Bryson and Caine deserve the truth. I deserve the truth. You know I love you, and that family always comes first, but I'm not a child anymore. Tell me every single thing." Jade said fiercely.
"His uncle's name was... Frank Castello," I croaked out.
