I stood rooted on the spot dumbfounded. Cole had his mouth agape as well, also unable to believe what had just happened.
"Did she just say she isn't interested in a mate?" He asked me.
"Umm, I think so."
"Is that possible?"
"I don't know..." Just then Caleb came up behind me.
"Dude, what just happened? Was that her?"
"Yeah, it was," I said, still unable to comprehend her walking away from me so easily.
"So, what happened? Where'd she go?" He asked, looking around as if she just ran to get something and would be right back.
"I don't know, she just walked away from me. She said she wasn't interested in a mate right now."
