Blake
We forgot about her; I admit I did. Even though she was in my view, I forgot about her. We all looked at each other and considered what we should say and how to answer her question.
The whole event is f****d up but amazing. Jax loves it; then again, he's got a thing for torture and blood.
"Also, what did he take?" She looks at us, and I sigh. This is where she f*****g laughs.
"Kittens," I smile at her.
She laughs and almost falls to the floor. "Wait, you're serious?" She looks at us in disbelief, and yes, we're serious.
"Yes, he took Kittens." I shrug, and she stares at us.
"f**k sake, the kittens had a collar on. Each collar had diamonds on. Between them all, they are worth nearly a million." Chase groans. "The kittens aren't the issue, the diamonds are."
"So you use kittens to smuggle diamonds?" She stares in shock.
"We close down illegal or messed-up kitten and puppy farms. Diamonds are placed on the collars; the animals are moved into this city for a check-up. The animal shelter gets a share of the diamonds and finds loving homes for the animals." Chase explains, and she seems to understand.
"Right, and what was that about?" She points towards the phone, and we look at each other.
"Let's just say there's a society that works throughout the cities, and one thing they do is plan a twice-yearly event." Chase shrugs.
"But you mentioned hunting him." She waits for us to answer.
The event is twice a year, and it's not exactly elite. People from all walks of life are in it. There are hunters and prey. If the prey lasts the entire three hours, they walk out alive, wounded, but alive.
It's something Jax enjoys, being sadistic and a psychopath.
"The worse of the worse, get an exclusive invite to a billionaires club, something even those with nothing can't resist. They believe they're going for fun, but in fact, they are merely bait. The location changes every time, this time it's a shopping centre. Some watch and place bets on who will win; others join in the hunting."
"Wait..." she says and stares at Jax. "It isn't a game?"
"Oh, it is. If they survive the three hours, they will walk out with their evil deeds forgiven."
"How is that a game?" She stares at him.
"How is it not? They get three hours to survive; if they play well, they live. Those who do live often learn not to do whatever they before again." Jax shrugs like it's simple.
"And what did they do?"
Sighing, I look at her. "Everything you can imagine that is f****d up, immoral and wrong Angel." I wait, and she shrugs, waiting for me to explain. "Child murderers, rapists, paedophiles, wife beaters. You think of the people who often do f****d up, sick twisted things and walk free due to lack of evidence, and that's who it is."
She seems to realise what we mean now. "But Carl is none of them." She looks at me, waiting.
"Is he not? He hoped we would take you and murder you. Even if we forget that he stole from us, there are no signs of those kittens. What did he do with them? We rarely throw a random in the games, but Carl seems to need to be reminded of things, and if he dies, it fixes one issue for you." Chase looks at her; he's not wrong. Carl was going to let us kill her.
"I.." She stops and looks at us. "I don't know what to say or how to reply."
It's out there; there are meetings and everything discussing who will participate in the game. Evidence is gathered to prove they are guilty of their crimes. Each person is checked to ensure no one innocent is sent in.
"Blake loves it," Jax winks at her, and she stares at me.
"Not in that sense," I laugh and sit down. Sure, we hunt those who are guilty, but I enjoy being hunted by Jax and Chase. That is what I love.
"Then in what sense?" Her voice shakes, and I laugh.
"He likes being hunted, so while he wears a hunter mark, me and Chase turn him to prey and hunt him down," Jax bites his lips and looks at me.
"I might not join this time," I shrug, and he laughs. Yeah, even I know I am joining.
"I'm still not sure what to say." She sits and stares between us. "How did you guys get involved? How did you find out about it?"
"Of course the Mafia know," I laugh.
She groans and rolls her eyes. "Okay, then how do people learn about it and become part of it?"
"They don't, Princess. At each meeting, it's discussed who could be invited and who could not. There's initiation, depending on who you are. Often, the people invited are those who were wronged by the person taking part. It's a secret society." Chase shrugs like it's nothing, and to us, it is.
"Secret society?"
I nod at her words. "Look, we're part of one because of who we are. Sure, people know that there are mafia groups and such, but very few know the main people within them. We run most of your city, did you know?"
Her head shakes at my words. "No, but if you do, then why can't you just tell my stepdad and Carl to leave the hell alone and let me go home?"
"Just because we control what happens in the city doesn't mean people don't refuse, argue or do differently. We can tell them, but what stops them from hurting you? Fear of us? Maybe, but if they want to gain something from you, the risk of us might be nothing." Chase leans closer to her. "People assume the mafia just walk in, kill people, and that's how things are dealt with. It's not; believe me, I would love to kill them both for you, but the fallout from it wouldn't be good; neither family are small within the city."
"So you're putting Carl in the game, why not my Stepdad as well?" She looks at him, and I can see why she would be confused.
"Because what is the main thing linking Carl and your stepdad?" Chase asks, and she sighs, realising. "Exactly, you. If they both go missing, both sides come for you. Let me sort it out. Let me make sure it's safe for you to go back to your life, please."
Fuck, Chase saying, please? He's asking her, not telling. Since when did he f*****g ask instead of just ordering?
"Can we give up on this conversation now? I'm sure it's about time we got to watch the film I wanted to watch months ago." Jax looks at us.
"Guess we're having a movie night, Angel," I wink at her, and she laughs. Walking through to the Den, I watch as Jax sets up the film while I pour drinks. Dhalia is leaning into Chase, and I try and focus on hearing them.
"I just wanted you to know I wouldn't," Dhalia whispers.
"Not even for cash, revenge?" Chase looks at her.
"Who you f**k is nothing to do with me, and I get it. It's personal; I'm not the sort to shout out people's personal lives for revenge, cash or anything. I could have done that with my stepdad and Carl, but I didn't. So why would I do it to you when you're helping me?" Her words end as I finish pouring the drinks.
"What are you saying?" Chase chuckles.
"You don't need to instantly run and hide from them while I'm around. You have my word; I won't repeat anything. Hell, I'll sign an NDA if it helps." She smiles and sits back. Chase stares at her, shocked.
Yeah, she offered to sign a form to confirm she wouldn't disclose things. I walked over and sat between Chase and Dhalia; Jax was on the other side of her.
"It will be bloody and gruesome; just a warning," I look at her. It's Jax's fascination: blood, gore, guts, and all that.
"I'm fine with blood, Blake; being a woman means I need to be every month," she winks, and we laugh. She says that, but periods are clean and controlled, not someone been slaughtered and cut open.
The film starts, and I feel Chase pushing closer to me. His hand settles on my thigh, and I look at him in shock. He leans in, his lips moving against my neck and up to my ear.
"Want company tonight," his fingers stroke higher. Turning, I look at him.
"Oh, now you want me?" I fight back the smirk, and he glares. "I'm joking; stop trying to pop the vein," I laugh and stroke my finger along the vein protruding from his temple.
"You're so getting f*****g punished for that baby," his words are cold, and I smile.
"Just what I wanted." Leaning forward, I watch as he gets ready for me to kiss him. Instead, I bite his lip. He hisses and glares at me.
"If you two f**k, we're watching. Just putting it out there," Jax's words have me laugh, and I hear Dhalia choking on her drink.
"I'm good; I'll pass the free show for tonight, thanks."
Jax pouts at her. "You don't want to join? I can get Blake to f**k you while I f**k him."
"And leave out Chase? That's mean," she mocks, and we laugh. She didn't say no, she didn't refuse, or say no.
"Tell you what, Angel, how about we just f**k, and make them watch and sit out of it for a change?" I wink at her and watch as she chews her lip. I was joking, but now? Call me crazy, but I want to. Chase is so set on f*****g me tonight, so if I f**k her, then what?
"I don't know, Blake; I think they will get scared that I'll steal you from them." Her words are perfect and I almost laugh.
"Have fun with him. Even I know that won't happen; Blake likes to submit and be f****d, Princess," Chase winks.
"Which he needs us for sweetness," Jax points out and both are right. Yeah, I could live a life with a woman but I would miss that aspect.
"You think I can't do it?" She looks at them and stands, stepping closer to me. She climbs onto me, and her hands stroke down my chest. My c**k hardens as she grinds against me. "I have no issues with pegging. I'm pretty sure I would love it, so try me." She smirked at them, and I grabbed the back of her neck.
Pulling her to me, I kiss her, our tongues moving against each other. I had never thought of it before, and it had never crossed my mind until she said it, but now? I think I would submit to her aswell.
"No, you're not stealing him from us," Chase mutters, pulling her off me.
"I think I quite like the idea of pegging," I smirk and he groans.
"I'll f**k you later, baby; then you don't need a rubber d**k; stop seriously." He glares at me, and there it is. His possessive side is the side that of him that doesn't like to share. It's the side that I fell for, pulled me in, and kept me there.
He's not worried about me letting her do it, more that if I do, she will replace him, and I will leave. He should know by now I won't ever leave him.
