Ember POV
As I shifted in the bed, I realized I was no longer in Alex’s arms, and once I opened my eyes, I noticed he was gone.
Taking a moment to sit up, I allowed myself to fully wake up before finally getting out of bed, putting on my clothes, and making my way towards the bathroom.
As I pushed open the door, the sound of the shower greeted me and I called out Alex's name. However, he did not respond.
Cautiously, I entered the bathroom, worried something may be wrong, to find Alex leaning against the shower wall with his eyes closed.
