Prologue

The last time Nhia and Toby had seen each other was five years ago. They were in a relationship and things didn't work out, leaving a bitter taste in Nhia's mouth. She vowed that the next time they saw each other, she would not be swayed by his sweet words and actions. They were worlds apart. She thought they would never see each other again, but an unpaid debt caused their paths to cross again.
Things were going smoothly, but when she found out her ex was to be her boss…things got more complicated when they had to get married inorder for her family's land not to be forfeited by the bank.
Will she agree to the proposal? Will Nhia let Toby hurt her again? Or Will he let her discover bad things with him?

We threw our graduation caps in the air at the same time. As this chapter draws to a close in our lives, we will face something new.
They say every ending is a new beginning. We will enter a new chapter in our lives. Some of us will stay, some will leave. As for me, I can go on with my life looking forward to seeing her beautiful face in the morning when I wake up.
But that was before, not anymore. She betrayed me. No one betrays Toby Pedroza and gets away from it.
