"What?!" I felt my ears burning because of her subtle, yet, unimaginable revelation. How could she be special needs? Or was she playing a prank on me?
"You're special needs?" I asked again, unsure if I heard her right the first time.
"Yes."
I gasped and swallowed her. It was the first time I'd fully realized the depth of my luck, that I wasn't the only special needs student. But that was if she was telling the truth. Jasper had said otherwise, he had told me I was the only one in years.
