While Ethan took deep calming breaths, a knock on the door startled me from my musings. I straightened up in my sitting position immediately. My shoulders were no longer slouched. My mom would be proud of me if she saw me.   “Everything okay in there?” A woman’s voice reached my ears before I was able to see her. The woman that got in was tall, had curves in all the right places and yet looked fit, her face was open and friendly, her gaze soft as it settled on me –in a nutshell, she was beautiful… and was, no doubt, Ethan’s mother for I could see the similarities, starting from their deep chocolate brown orbs, to the way they both held themselves –with confidence.
