“What?” She squealed, her eyebrows scrunching up in confusion. Mate is beautiful when confused. My wolf let out appreciatively.   She’s always beautiful. I inwardly rolled my eyes at him. “You heard me,” I told her sheepishly with a nonchalant shrug. Her eyes narrowed dangerously at me and I could only gulp down my dread at that. “If you’re trying to make me angry, you’re succeeding,” she spat out at me. How could I be so clumsy when it came to her? This was not the best way to reveal one’s true self to his loved one. How could I be such an i***t, me a werewolf warrior, a strategist?
