18. The Monster

When I got home, I went straight to my room, not bothering to stop by the kitchen and see what was on the menu for dinner. I was not in the mood. I was much too confused to function properly. I didn't know what to think of what I had found out.  I don't think I can handle being a werewolf's mate. Could I, me, a human? I don't know. Well, I do know that if I had been selected to be his mate, it must mean we were compatible somehow some way. But was that enough for us to live happily together? I wouldn't be so sure.  I was hesitating, debating whether to give in, seeing as I liked him already, or if I should fight my instincts which told me to hug and kiss the living daylights out of him.
