Chapter 8: An Unnecessary PinchCanan sat across from Stafford admiring his smile. The entire ride, they had laughed, and smiled. They had spent the evening joking and flirting. It had been a delightful date. “Dessert?” the waiter asked, as he cleared away their dinner plates. “What do you say?” Canan asked. “I could be persuaded,” Stafford admitted. “Do you want some coffee as well?” “Oh, we are staying up tonight, aren’t we?” Canan asked. “Sounds good to me. This is the most fun I’ve had in quite some time, definitely in the last week or so.” “Well then, yes, we would love to see the dessert tray,” Canan said to the waiter.
