***Ashta, the missing princess of Halondelle, grew up in the human world after the king and the queen brutally murdered her parents. After discovering the truth, she began her journey back to the far-off kingdom she was from to learn the truth about her past. Along the way, she finds that the kingdom of Halondelle has split into two kingdoms. Taitum and Nemiph.
Taitum, which was home to the Selvempt community, was ruled by an evil queen, and she would stop at nothing to have power over both kingdoms. She married a man named Rocco, and he had a son, Roman. Unknowingly, Roman would be a hybrid guardian of the land.
Nemiph, home to the Slayer community, was ruled by King Gale and his brother Liam. King Gale was Ashta’s mother’s brother, making Ashta his and Liam’s niece. Ashta also discovered she was born of both species. Since it was frowned upon, they gave the baby to a man named Yinlin to raise her in the human world.
Not only that, she had learned how to manipulate the four elements and bend them to her will. Earth, air, water, and fire. Ashta met the gods of the land during her journey, and they seemed to guide the path toward her destiny.
As Ashta’s past unfolds before her, she discovers that there is another hybrid, Roman. The prince of Selvempts. At first, the princess and the prince got along, but Roman and Ashta turned on each other as time progressed. The gods were angry with the two-hybrid children for turning on one another, so they stripped them of their elemental abilities.
The gods then sent them on a quest, allowing them to choose one trusted friend each to bring with them on this journey. Ashta chose her first friend that she had made in the far-off land, Riah. Roman didn’t have any friends, so he decided on his cousin Ray. Roman and Ray had been close their whole lives.
Ashta, Roman, Riah, and Ray go on their journey to the Realms of Passing, and the queen of Selvempts causes pure havoc over both kingdoms, enslaving anyone who believed in the princess to be their savior. The queen had hoped that her stepson would destroy the princess while they were away.
The four learned a lot about what they were to become on their journey and that they were the chosen ones to become the new Elemental Guardians, and the gods granted them elemental abilities and powers. They ran into strange magical creatures that were both good and evil, and they also became closer. Ashta and Roman no longer fought, and Riah and Ray seemed to get along.
On Ashta, Roman, Riah, and Rays return, the gods sent the new Elemental Guardians after the evil queen to stop her and save the land from her evil corruption and destruction. They were the only ones who had the power to prevent her and the only ones that were strong enough to save their home.
The Elemental Guardians saved the kingdom, and a grand celebration was in their honor. The four guardians defeated the queen, and when they had returned home, Nemiph and Taitum became Halondelle again, and both species lived as one again. Everyone danced happily together and had a grand old time.
Suddenly, Ashta found herself lying in a hospital bed, and when she looked at the man sitting in the chair beside her, she stared at him with wide eyes. To her, this man wasn’t supposed to be there. She couldn’t remember why, but she could feel it down in her soul that something wasn’t right.***
