To drown is to die from suffocation while immersed in water. In contrast, water does not exist in my current situation. Someone held me by my arms, pulling me to safety from the hole I've been falling in. I am trying to reach my father, touch his hand. Someone is holding my dad, stopping him from touching me. Someone is walking to him holding a gun in his hand.
