The night came to an end and somehow I found myself back in Lorenzo’s car. We rode mostly in silence, only briefly exchanging awkward comments on the night. By the time we pulled up in front of my apartment, I was itching to get inside “I hope we’ll have the opportunity to collaborate again,” Lorenzo said as he walked me to the front of my building. I kept my gaze fixed on my shoes, refusing to meet the alpha’s eyes. “Maybe, if there’s ever another chance,” I replied and my voice sounded shockingly small which made me all the more self conscious.
