Chapter Eleven: As I lay there everything that had ever happened in my life flashed behind my eyelids. My third birthday, the small little muffin my mom had made me as we hid in a vacant house waiting to find the next spot to move to. The fear I felt then came creeping back up on me and I suddenly felt like I couldn’t breathe. The weight was crushing my chest as it had then. I was six and we were running on foot for the first time not being able to find a car to “Borrow” as mom called it then.
