Chapter Twenty-Seven:
“Hey.” I said.
Veronica glanced at me and looked around like she was searching for someone. “Can I help you?” she asked.
I laughed. “Veronica it’s me Rebecca!”
She glanced at me again then noticed Tasha behind me. “Holy crap is that really you?” she asked and I nodded. “Well you fooled me, come on Missy is waiting for us.” She led the way down some paths and it felt like we were in a maze and suddenly we appeared by a lake and found Melissa and a group of kids our age hanging out drinking and smoking something that smelt very off.
“About time you got here, where is Rebecca?” Melissa asked as she bounded over. “Who is this?” She asked nodding in my direction.
