As Jesse awoke she startled to find herself on a couch she didn’t recognise. It was a chaise-lounge of ebony wood frame and a dark burgundy velvet upholstery, it looked antique. She was propped up on a couple of cream and gold cushions against the high side with a soft cream chenille throw over her. She sat up and saw Lord Valion was sitting on the foot end of the chaise by her feet, watching her with a dulcet calmness in his beautiful smile. “Miss Jessica, please don’t panic now…” “Don’t panic?” She hissed through gritted teeth. “Tell me I’m not kidnapped and I’ll not panic!” “Ah, well…it may look that way, but in all honesty I do intend to drop you home…” Valion said with a curious tilt to his head. “You do?” Jesse asked with suspicion and doubt looking around the room she was in.
