As they made it back to the fence Jesse groaned. “Can you put me down now you Neanderthal!?”
“Are you going to behave?” Adler sounded amused, having reined in control over his alter egos and they were both calm and happy to have their mate secure.
Jesse squirmed and grunted. “As much as I want to argue the points of everything wrong with that question, my guts hurt where your shoulder is digging into me…” Adler jostled her purposely, chuckling as she grunted again. “Yes…okay!” Jesse huffed in resignation.
