The Woodfields were really nice, homely and welcoming Christian people and Jesse wasn’t left to feel awkward for long as Mrs Woodfield put out homemade apple pie and coffee at the dining table as they all sat round it. And it was really good and tasty too! After a brief introduction to the foster family that contained Mr and Mrs Woodfield and two other foster kids that were both orphans - one was ten, the other thirteen, both boys – Mrs Woodfield showed Beth to the door and then once she was gone Mrs Woodfield led Jesse up to what was to be her room for the next two weeks. It was simply furnished with a single bed, a small set of drawers and a bed side table with a lamp, a desk in the far corner with a hard wooden chair.
