Chapter 35 A strong rival

945 Words
Catherine was a bit surprised. She did not expect that Andrew would stay with Ryan at the hospital all night. "Are you going home now?" Andrew stood in front of Catherine, with a gentle smile on his face as always. "Well, it's off duty." Catherine smiled and nodded at him. "That's it." Andrew nodded and said casually, "I'll give you a ride. It's on my way home." Andrew didn't know where her home was. How could he say that it's on her way home? "No, Mr. Williams. My home is not far away. It's won't take long." "Then I'll buy you breakfast." Andrew paused and spoke again before Catherine refused, "You take good care of Ryan. I want to invite you to breakfast. I want to thank you. You will not refuse, will you?" Catherine wanted to refuse his invitation, but she was embarrassed to do so. "I..." "She is not free." Suddenly, someone interrupted her. Leonard didn't wait for Catherine to react and directly pulled her away in front of Andrew. When they were out of the hospital, Catherine shook off the hand of Leonard, "What are you doing?" "Don't get too close to him," Leonard warned her. Catherine laughed, "It's my business. It has nothing to do with you. Don't you think you care too much?" "Besides, Mr. Williams is wealthy and charming. He is really a gentleman. He won't cheat me." Catherine admitted that she said so deliberately. She wanted to provoke Leonard on purpose. Besides, she was also telling the truth. Andrew was indeed gentler than Leonard and his temper was better than that of Leonard. "Most of all, he is nice to me." Catherine didn't finish her words and her mouth was blocked by him. Leonard stared at Catherine's lips and kissed her. He didn't want to hear those annoying words. Catherine opened her eyes wide, looking at the enlarged face in front of her. The man was still deepening the kiss, and he was enjoying the kiss. Catherine gave him a hard bite. Leonard let go of Catherine, but he couldn't lose his temper because he wouldn't be angry at her. "Leonard, if you do this again, I cannot help your grandpa's illness." Then Catherine turned around and left. Looking at her back, Leonard frowned. Every time he wanted to go further, Catherine would go away from him at all costs. Leonard saw a figure at the corner and he could not help but put down his hand. It's Andrew. Andrew smiled as usual. But Leonard could see indifference from his eyes. The man was absolutely not innocent. When Andrew noticed that Leonard was looking at him, he turned gentle and nodded to Leonard. Leonard scoffed and turned around to get on the car. Andrew stared at Leonard, who was his rival as Ryan said. It seemed that Leonard was not nice to Catherine and that he showed no respect for Catherine's opinion. How could Leonard kiss Catherine so suddenly? And he even didn't ask for her opinion. While Leonard was in the car, Andrew's face and Catherine's words were still lingering in his mind. If Andrew stayed with Catherine, it would be very dangerous. His ability to hide his emotions was strong. Catherine was not his opponent at all. If she was cheated on by this man, she probably didn't know what happened. The important thing was that the man gave him a sense of crisis. The sense of crisis was so strong that Leonard could not control his emotions in front of Catherine. It's not easy to eliminate that subconscious sense of crisis. The driver in front looked carefully at Leonard, who was expressionless. Recently, Mr. Campbell's behavior became weirder and weirder. But he was afraid of saying anything. Leonard also found his own changes and he did try to control himself. But when he was in front of Catherine, his efforts were useless. When he was back in the office, Leonard directly called his assistant, "I want Andrew's information as soon as possible." The assistant on the other end of the phone stared at the phone that had been hung up. He didn't know the person his boss mentioned. But he remembered a man whose name was the same as Mr. Campbell said. The assistant acted fast and he sent over the information to Leonard before lunch. Leonard took the information and did not say anything. He waved his assistant out. The assistant observed Leonard's expression. He found that Leonard had no reaction when he looked at the photos he had placed on the front page. He didn't do anything wrong, right? The assistant sighed with fear. He left the office quietly. He could notice that his boss was not in a good mood. After the assistant left, Leonard could not wait to open the data and look it through seriously. He was wrong. He only thought that Andrew was good at hiding his emotions. He didn't expect that Andrew was more prominent than he imagined. Andrew was indeed prominent. Although Leonard didn't want to admit it, he had to admit that Andrew was definitely a strong rival. If he had known this, he should have ignored Ryan. If Ryan hadn't accepted the treatment, Catherine and Andrew would not have known each other. Damn it! Leonard felt that he needed the help of his grandfather. His face darkened and no one could see any emotion on his face. Leonard's grandfather and Leonard have always stood on the same front. After all, in addition to Catherine, Grandfather Campbell felt that no one could marry Leonard. But Grandfather Campbell didn't completely stand on the same front with Leonard. He had said that if Leonard was not nice to Catherine, he would push her to others. It was enough for Catherine to suffer what had happened once. If Catherine suffered again, Grandfather Campbell would feel that he was being humiliated. Grandfather Campbell answered the phone slowly, but Leonard had no other way. Only when answering Catherine's, Grandfather Campbell would act promptly.
