CHAPTER 3 Engagement

Aurora's POV The evening finally rolled around the ceremony had begun. I stood next to Henry, my face covered in fresh makeup. The makeup on my eyes was heavier to cover the redness from crying. I had rearranged my clothing and jewellery to cover everything up any evidence of me crying. I put the beautiful ruby jewellery my mother gave me back into the box. It didn't deserve to be marred by an occasion like this. "Oh, Aurora, where has that beautiful ruby necklace you were wearing gone?" Henry questioned. As he spoke he gently took my hand like he usually did and gently dropped a kiss to my ear. The feeling of him kissing only made me think about how he was kissing Daisy just hours ago. I suppress the urge to pull my hand out of his. Looking up at him with a smile that was bearly there I said. "I just didn't like the colour of it anymore I didn't feel like it complemented me. So I took it off." Henry only smiled and nodded back at me casually. I could tell he didn't care about the topic, he just wanted to make small talk. "Aurora! I'm here!" A female voice that used to bring me joy and comfort appeared behind the door. She walked in, also wearing red for some reason. But what made it worse was the ruby necklace she was wearing. My gaze turned hard as I grabbed at my skirt to help myself stay calm. This b***h deliberately wore clothes that looked just like mine. I can even guess where she saw my outfit originally. Before I got a chance to speak, Henry greeted her as usual and handed her a glass of champagne. Daisy thanked him with a warm smile as they began a conversation. The scene hurt. But I was so used to him turning all his attention on her when she entered the room. Daisy often imitated my style. She originally had beautiful brown hair then dyed it the same golden colour as mine. I thought it was because we always acted like sisters. We even had matching outfits that we bought together. I always viewed her and Henry's relationship as a friendly one. No matter how they behaved, I always put it down to them being good friends. But I see it all now everything is falling into place. "Oh, Honey, don't be too nervous. You look beautiful" Daisy must have noticed that I hadn't spoken in a while and thought it was just me being nervous about the ceremony. She walked over and took my hand. "You are the most beautiful woman in the room today my love," Henry said from the other side of me. Usually having them both surrounding me would bring me a lot of comfort. Right now it only disgusts me. "The second most beautiful woman today? Thats me." Daisy joked causing Henry to laugh. But I couldn't laugh along like usual. Seeing their harmony, I felt stupid. In the past, we often held hands and joked around like this. I thought it would be like this forever, but now their pack will see them for the traitors they are. Then ill be able to go back to my own pack and forget all about this. The ceremony began as usual. The host guided us into the positions we should sit in as Alpha and Luna. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't hold that beautiful position knowing what I know now. "I want to stand so we can watch our commemorative video carefully," I spoke in a low but gentle voice to the host who understood straight away. He began the video that was supposed to be a display of all our most loving moments. "Oh! Henry! Come inside me, Please!" A woman's moans rang out, and all of the guests stared at the screen completely in shock. There, clearly displayed was their great Alpha Henry having s*x with another woman on his desk. They also started to notice that the woman in the video was amongst the guests. "My moon goddess, is that the Alpha with another woman?" "In his study room aswell, how daring..." All around the room, the whispers grew soon all eyes were locked on us. I looked over at Henry and Daisy with complete satisfaction. Their faces have turned pale. Daisy turned as if to bolt from the room before realising she was blocked in by other guests. Henry stood in a rush and grabbed my hand. "Aurora, please I can explain! It was a mistake." The glare I turned against him was icey. I'm done listening to his bullshit. I shook off his hand and confidently walked to the front of the hall. "Hello everyone, my name is Aurora Frost the daughter of the Swiftfoot Pack's Alpha. All eyes were on me, but it wasn't because I was being shamed for a change. I continued my speech, "I'm sorry to inform you that the ceremony today will be cancelled. Mr Henry Cooper and I will have nothing to do with each other from now on." An uproar ripped through the audience. Henry rushed over to me in a panic and grabbed my arm. His neck began to flush as he spoke. "Aurora! This is all a misunderstanding! You know that I've always loved you and would never hurt you like this intentionally." "You know that I've always loved you, Daisy." Rang out from the video that was still playing. I couldn't help but sneer at him. He looked embarrassed but still refused to let go of my arm. "Henry, What do you think you are doing?" A voice said sharply but was laced with pain. Henry's mother began walking towards us pure anger in her eyes. She pulled Henry away from me. I let them move away freely. I was so glad his mother stepped in, she had always been kind to me. This opinion quickly changed, however, when she approached me and whispered, "Aurora, it's just sleeping with one insignificant woman. Is it truly worth all this fuss?" She knew it was Daisy. I knew that she knew. But apparently, that didn't matter. Me embarrassing her son mattered more. I looked at her and her beloved son trying my best to not immediately begin screaming at them. Just as my temper was about to break. Beta John rushed towards us in a panic, "Alpha! Something is wrong. The Timberwolf Pack is attacking us."
