JUNE THIRD Undecided about what I felt in the past few minutes or hours, I rushed into my bedroom, slightly startled by Grace's presence on the armchair, but I didn't stop until I was by the window. "How was it?" Grace asked, and I gestured for a minute with my finger, curious about what Duncan was doing and when he was coming in. He was on the phone, not looking very happy.
