“King of Shadows?” I ask looking at my father for more information.
Heaving another sigh he leans forward resting his elbows on his knees. “He’s my cousin. Our great grandfather married a woman known as Serenity, she was a Fae princess banished from the Fae realm. However her banishment didn’t come to light until after her death, she betrayed her parents and attempted to kill her father looking for power, she failed but they couldn’t find it in their hearts to kill their daughter. Because of this she was banished to live among us, it is only in the past 30 years we have learnt of what she attempted as you know the Fae are a very elusive kind, i only met her a couple of times before her death and she appeared as a kind frail older lady.
