Yellow was the color she wore as she laid peacefully in the casket. It was my favorite dress on her because she wore it with such confidence and grace that it looked like she was made for it. She always paired the dress with a pearly white smile that blinded me from my surroundings causing me to only look at her, I wouldn't want it any other way. Obviously, she was missing that smile. God, that damn smile is forever burned into my mind and every time I close my eyes I see it and immediately I'm put to tears. I sat in the second row next to my mother who was crying onto my shoulder and it made me angry because she didn't even know her. My mother doesn't even know me. I looked around with bloodshot eyes as I saw everyone walk up to the Patersons, the people I call my real family. I watched
