The post had already been delivered that morning, so she assumed that it was junk advertising. However, when she finished the breakfast things, she dried her hands on a tea towel and put the kettle on. Then she spooned some instant coffee into a mug and went to the front door to see which special offer she had been blessed with. There was only one envelope in the wire basket that was used to catch incoming mail. The typed envelope simply had ‘Mrs. Angelica Smith’ and ‘Delivered by Hand’ on the front of it. She assumed that it was a new advertising ploy trying to make it look more personal, but she was curious enough to open it an
