Chapter Sixteen Tink stretched. She had to get up. Not only was she sore from lying around, she needed to use the bathroom and would kill for a shower. Sitting up and dragging the thin material of the covering with her, she swung her legs over the side. Holding the covers with one hand and sliding her other hand over her stomach and side where she remembered Bachman pushing the knife into her, she felt for the wound. Surprise flickered across her face when all she felt was smooth skin. Sliding off the bed, Tink held onto the bedside as she adjusted to being in an upright position.
