Chapter 7: The First Dilemma
8:21 P.M.
Saul becomes at home inside Holly Kill Cottage and insists on making everyone a cocktail to drink, which consists of vodka, crushed ice, lime juice, a sliver of lemon, and Sprite. He passes the beverages around like an experienced butler, pleased with his skills at making the evening drinks.
Gillian is sprawled out over the sofa in the living room. Her ankles are crossed and she leans on two oversized pillows. The woman is still outfitted in her dress and high heels, which I find appalling and non-traditional for the island. If I don’t know any better I’d guess she was a Hollywood star reincarnated, a revised and new model of Greta Garbo, Jane Mansfield, or Audrey Hepburn.
