Chapter 22: Coffee and Football 10:21 A.M. Breakfast is whatever we can find in the kitchen. There’s an assortment of fruit, toast, blueberry muffins, frosted donuts, dry cereal, and blackberry scones. The refrigerator has a number of juices to choose from. A pot of coffee is on the counter, ready for use. Bernie and I enjoy cups of coffee and scones. We carry our morning meal to the back deck, find seats, and partake in each other’s company. Gillian’s Sunday preaching is over. The three Adirondack chairs are next to the fire pit and her Bible is probably inside her room. She is now wearing her yellow bikini again and holds a football in her hands, tossing it back and forth with Tom and Brett. The three are quite clumsy looking and present a comedy on the lawn, athletically challenged.
