"The chief secretary of the Sterling group has declined to working in a small company like this. I guess your salary is now one-third of what you were paid in the Sterling group. You poor thing."
"Are you here to humiliate me?" Miller bit her lips with shame.
After leaving the Sterling group, no big company in LA dare to hire her when learned that she had been fired by Brian Sterling.
She had to settle for these small and nameless companies.
There was no future.
